Farquhar, who was previously head of strategic relationships at JP Morgan Asset Management has over 25 years of experience in the sector, including stints as head of investment proposition at Aviva Wrap, head of UK retail at London and Capital and head of investments at Bankhall Investment Associates.
According to Square Mile managing director, Richard Romer-Lee, Farquhar will work alongside the firm’s head of client relationships, Mark James, in order to further broaden its relationship with consulting clients and develop the group’s model portfolio business.
The move also comes in the wake of Square Mile co-founder, Nigel Wittingham’s decision to step down from his role as executive director and distribution director at the beginning of the year for family reasons.
