Square Mile has named Scott Dakers as its business development director, tasked with driving the commercial growth of the business within the north of the UK.
Dakers joins the firm from Edentree Investment Management where he was regional sales manager. Prior to this, he was head of UK regional sales at Aberdeen Asset Management, now Abrdn, having joined following its acquisition of Scottish Widows Investment Partnerships.
In addition to expanding Square Mile’s presence in the north of the UK in his new role, Dakers will be responsible for developing existing client relationships across the managed portfolio and consultancy service.
“With a career spanning more than three decades, Scott’s wealth of experience will be key as we look to continue to expand across the north of the UK,” said Richard Romer-Lee (pictured), Square Mile’s chief executive officer. “In addition, his knowledge of developing responsible investment solutions will be invaluable as we seek to further establish our position as a market leader in responsible investment research and consultancy.”
