Solomon Nevins exits Architas after decade with multi-manager firm

Architas is shaking up the management of its UK funds as Solomon Nevins exits the business after 10 years with the Axa-owned multi-manager.

Shayan Ratnasingam will join Mayank Markanday on the Architas Diversified Real Assets fund, which Nevins had been a co-manager on since August 2014.

Additionally, Jen Causton (pictured) has been promoted to co-manager on three funds: Architas MM Monthly High Income, Diversified Global Income and the Architas Positive Future fund. Nevins had been co-manager on the income funds since 2015 and the Positive Future fund since launch in August last year.

Causton is already co-manager of the Architas MM UK Equity fund with Nathan Sweeney, who she will now work with on the MM Monthly High Income and Diversified Global Income funds.

Ratnasingam will also join the Positive Future fund as co-manager alongside existing manager Sheldon MacDonald.

Architas said Nevins had left the business to pursue other opportunities.

CIO Jaime Arguello wished him well and said Architas was pleased to be able to promote existing talent. The multi-manager business will be recruiting for its investment teams in both London and its new Dublin-based business.

“Mayank has become an integral part of the team since he joined three years ago to co-manage the Diversified Real Assets fund. He will now be joined by Shayan Ratnasingam who has been closely involved with the fund in his role as specialist property and thematic analyst. They will both continue to be supported by the relevant analysts covering credit, infrastructure and other alternative asset classes within the wider investment team.

Arguello added: “Jen Causton joined the investment team in 2012 and has over 14 years investment experience. Her main analyst role has been to cover UK equities and property while also managing the Architas MM UK Equity fund. Jen will now be working with senior investment manager Nathan Sweeney to manage our income generating funds, including the MM Monthly High Income and the Architas Diversified Global Income funds.”
