Henry Flockhart, who has been with the firm since 2011, is replacing Ed Legget as head of the £52m fund. He will continue to head up the UK component of the Global Advantage fund alongside his new responsibilities.
Prior to joining SLI, Flockhart worked for Matterley Asset Management as assistant portfolio manager on the Matterley Undervalued Assets Funds.
Legget had managed the fund since 2006, and will continue to run the SLI UK Equity Unconstrained fund.
A company spokesperson said: “Flockhart took on the management of the UK component of the Global Advantage Fund in 2012 and we are confident he is well suited to take on this additional responsibility going forward.”
