Fraser Duff (pictured) has been made lead manager of SLI’s Higher Income Fund and European High Yield Fund.

He will also be appointed as a co-manager of the Total Return Credit Fund, joining the four-strong management team.

An SLI spokesperson declined to comment on the reason for Ennett’s departure or his next move.

Duff has been with Standard Life Investments for five years, focusing on managing European high yield funds, working with Ennett since 2012.

He has also had responsibility for credit research covering the chemical and pharmaceuticals sectors.  His prior experience in covering these industries includes working for Lehman Brothers as a research analyst and sector specialist. He has 13 years of investment experience in total.

The spokesperson said that the company is in the process of hiring additional people to the credit team in Edinburgh.

SLI’s global credit team has 45 people based across Edinburgh, London and Boston.

“Following Fraser’s appointment there will be no change to our management style, philosophy or process, and continuity of investment performance and commitment to relationship management remain our key priorities,” SLI said in a statement.
