Zverev, who joined SLI in 2007, is a silver-rated manager by S&P Capital IQ, and has managed the firm’s Global Equity Unconstrained Fund since July 2010.
He will report directly to David Cumming, head of equities at SLI, with his team covering North America, Europe, the UK and Emerging Markets.
The team also works with the firm’s in-house corporate bond team, global real estate team and strategy team, and is a key beneficiary of SLI’s strategic alliance with Japanese fund manager Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Cumming said.
Last week SLI announced Wesley McCoy had rejoined the company as an investment director in the Global Equities Team after he left in 2008.
During his prior nine years at Standard Life Investments Wesley was a UK retail and institutional high alpha manager and was appointed fund manager for the UK Equity Unconstrained Fund, when it was launched in 2005.
