The new office will serve UHNW individuals who are looking for a locally-based wealth manager and the expansion is the latest stage of Signia’s CEO Nathalie Dauriac-Stoebe’s plans for the relatively new firm.

King was previously at UBS Wealth Management, as an executive director, where he founded the Midlands office in 2003.

Signia said he has built up an extensive network in the West Midlands and has worked closely with leading tax, trust and corporate finance advisers.

He has also worked for Kleinwort Benson Private Bank and Singer and Friedlander Investment Management.

King said he was excited to have the "opportunity to build up the new office from scratch", while Duriac-Stoebe praised his "highly-respected name in the Midlands wealth management sector".

Signia Wealth was set up by Duriac-Stoebe in 2010 after she left her position of senior client partner at Coutts & Co, where she was one of the founding members of the Coutts Private Office.
