He started in the newly-created role as senior portfolio adviser on 6 January and joins the expanding Private Clients investment team in the Channel Islands.
Last year the Jersey team integrated with their South African colleagues under the ‘Melville Douglas’ brand – one of the premier investment offerings in the South African marketplace.
‘In particular, with the integrated team we are able to offer a broader wealth of experience in the rapidly expanding African economies at a very interesting time for the continent and potential investors,’ Maloney said.
Prior to joining Standard Bank, Justin spent three years as a Senior Investment Manager with UK-based boutique asset manager, Four Capital Partners, where he managed global equity funds for South African based clients. Previously, he held portfolio management roles with Artefact Partners, Oakside Capital and Foreign & Colonial Management.
