Moglione will be responsible for researching developed market equities and fixed income, where Seneca invests via closed and open-ended funds. He will work alongside Tom Delic, who becomes responsible for emerging market equity and fixed income research.

At Amundi, Moglione was responsible for €5bn held in European equity funds and several emerging market portfolios. Before Amundi, Moglione held roles at Tilney and Royal Liver Asset Managers.

At Seneca he will work alongside chief investment officer Peter Elston on asset allocation, on top of his fund research duties.

Seneca chief executive David Thomas said the appointment is part of their plans for growth in the coming years, adding that Moglione has an “extremely impressive analytical mind”.

Moglione described Seneca’s investment managers as a “progressively-principled team”.
