SEI hires Bayley to lead UK wealth platform

SEI has strengthened its front-end proposition for UK discretionary managers in a post-RDR environment with the appointment of Darren Bayley.

Bayley joins as UK solutions director of the SEI Wealth Platform where he will be responsible for growing its front office capability and extend functionality in the UK market. He will also lead the ongoing development of its front-office automation, functionality, client acquisition and management.

SEI, the global investment services provider responsible for managing or administering more than $500bn of assets, said Bayley’s hire would help “lead and shape the company’s offering to wealth managers in the UK.”

Bayley brings 15 years’ experience working in the UK advisory software sector, having worked in a strategic relations role at Standard Life, as well as senior positions at Synaptic Solutions, Avelo and Focus Solutions.

Bayley added: “[SEI has] a clear strategy that we are looking to execute, which includes providing a more comprehensive, multi-channel solution for existing and prospective clients. Additionally, the front office technology will be instrumental to wealth managers working with SEI post RDR.”

SEI’s platform supports trading and transactions on 106 stock exchanges in 46 countries and 33 currencies, through the use of straight-through processing and a single operating infrastructure environment.
