A year after joining Woodford Capital Management (WCM) Partners, Jonathan Adair has resigned as a director, according to documents on Companies House.

It follows Gavin Petken who left the firm on 17 January.

The change came into effect on 31 January, just nine days before Portfolio Adviser reported that Adair has set up a fresh venture called Curate Capital with his colleague Kristian Penttila.

At the time, a spokesperson for WCM told Portfolio Adviser that, even though Adair and Pentilla had set up a separate business, they had not left the company.

Clarification has been sought about what roles the duo hold at WCM in light of Adair’s resignation as a director.

No response was received ahead of publication.

Both men had worked with Neil Woodford at his predecessor firm Woodford Investment Management (WIM), which collapsed in October 2019.

Adair had been head of digital and technology at WIM, while Penttila was a relationship manager. Petken had been the only senior figure not to have previously worked at WIM.
