First State and Schroders trim management fees

Following a review of annual charges, both companies announced a fee reduction for certain products.

First State and Schroders trim management fees

Effective from today, First State Investment will charge a fee of 0.75%, down from 0.85%, on five of its clean share classes.
 
The following funds will see a lower charge:
 
Asian Property Securities Fund
Global Agribusiness Fund
Global Listed Infrastructure Fund
Global Property Securities Fund
Global Resources Fund
 
Meanwhile, Schroders also announced a lower management fee which will reduce the charge on its Japan Growth investment trust. This will amount to 0.75% on the first £200m of gross assets, and 0.65% after that. Prior to this, the trust incurred a charge of 1% on the first £150m of gross assets and 0.95% after that. Currently the trust has assets worth £183m.
