Schroders Personal Wealth hires CIO from SJP

Schroders Personal Wealth (SPW) has hired St James’s Place’s (SJP’s) Alan Goodman as chief investment officer.

Goodman, who has more than 25 years of experience in investment management, was previously the director of private markets and alternatives at SJP, and deputy CIO at Rowan Dartington.

In his new role Goodman will head up SPW’s investment strategy and be responsible for risk management strategies. He will report to ACD CEO Dominic Sheridan, after joining the company later this month.

Sheridan said: “We are delighted to appoint Alan as our CIO at SPW and to welcome him to the business. He is a highly experienced and respected investment professional who will help us to continue to deliver on our commitment of providing high quality investment solutions to our clients”.

Goodman added he is “thrilled” to be joining the company at an “exciting and important time for both clients and the business”.
