Schroders has named Julien Houdain as head of its rebranded global fixed income and currency desk.
It will now be called the global unconstrained fixed income desk.
Houdain joined Schroders in 2019 to lead the London-based credit team, managing the firm’s range of global unconstrained credit income strategies, and developing its quantitative credit team and process.

Houdain will continue to report to Schroders’ global head of fixed income, Andy Chorlton.
A Schroders spokesperson said: “As fixed income markets become increasingly complex, and the needs of our clients evolve, it is important that our investment processes also evolve so we can strive to offer the very best performance outcomes to our clients.
“As a result our global fixed income and currency team has become the global unconstrained fixed income team, which will be led by Julien Houdain in his new role as head of global unconstrained fixed income.”
