In his new capacity Hall will continue to be head of manager selection, the role he has held since March 2011 when he joined Schroders.
His additional responsibilities will include portfolio management and client service.
The three funds Hall will co-manage are the Schroders Cautious Managed, Schroders Strategic Balanced and Schroders High Alpha Funds.
He will work alongside Jane Turner, who has been involved in managing the trio of funds since 2005 and report to Johanna Kyrklund, head of multi-asset investments.
Robin Stoakley, managing director of Schroders UK Intermdediary Business, said: "With the introduction of RDR late next year, we believe multi-asset and multi-manager portfolios will become an increasingly important investment option for IFAs."
Kyrklund added: "In his role as Head of Manager Selection, Rob has been researching and selecting managers while working closely with our asset allocation team. Therefore it was a natural progression that he continue this role but also be made Head of Multi-Manager."
Hall previously worked at Russell Investments and has more than 23 years’ experience in the industry.
These latest changes follow the restructuring of Schroders £35bn multi-asset team back in March, which saw the multi-manager team merge with the multi-asset team all under the direction of Kyrklund.
