Audhlam-Gardiner, currently marketing director at Williams & Glynn will take up the role in August ahead of the launch of the business that aims to provide a wealth management solution designed specifically for Britons over 50.

According to the group, Audhlam-Gardiner’s track record of successfully launching financial services offerings made her stand out during a comprehensive recruitment process. Before joining Williams & Glynn, Audhlam-Gardiner held the role of products and marketing director at RBS’s corporate bank and has also occupied retail director roles at both Lloyds and Santander, the firm said.

Peter Hall, Tilney Bestinvest CEO said: “Nici’s appointment is a key milestone in preparing for the launch of Saga Investment Services. The JV brings together Saga’s insight into the UK’s over 50s with Tilney Bestinvest’s investment and financial planning expertise. With the recent radical shake-up of pensions, there has never been a greater need for high quality advice and support from a trusted brand.”

Once launched, the firms expect the JV to “develop a range of bespoke services and solutions that will draw upon Tilney Bestinvest’s investment and financial planning expertise and Saga’s access and insight into the needs of the nation’s over 50s”, the firm’s said at the announcement of the tie up in January.
