RWC Partners has hired Sunita Patel from M&G Investments to become its head of marketing.

Patel (pictured) has over 16 years’ experience in marketing and communications, working in a variety of lead roles across the institutional and wholesale asset management industry in the UK, Europe and Asia.

For the past decade she has worked at M&G, where she has been responsible for events, investment content and channel marketing, having previously overseen brand, customer insight and digital marketing. Prior to this she worked for Prudential Corporation Asia in Hong Kong.

In her new role, Patel will lead the charge on RWC’s brand and marketing across the fund group’s key regions and client segments, working closely with the senior leadership team.

Patel said she was excited to join RWC during a “transformational period” for the boutique. Over the past year, it has been expanding its product range for the UK wholesale market, unveiling a Global Equity Income Oeic for Newton Investment Management hire Nick Clay, as well as a UK-domiciled version of John Malloy’s Global Emerging Markets strategy. It now has three Oeics in its stable, including Ian Lance and Nick Purves’ UK Equity Income fund

RWC CEO Tord Stallvik said: “Sunita has extensive experience driving marketing strategy for global leaders in the asset management industry. She will make a valuable addition to our team and I am thrilled that she is joining RWC to build upon our capabilities, to support our clients and our growth ambitions.”
