Emma Rutter has left her investment director role at Ruffer to become senior client director at financial planning and investment consultancy firm Strabens Hall.

Rutter (pictured), who joined Ruffer in 2001, said that she had taken the decision to move away from investment management in order to offer clients a more comprehensive wealth advisory service.

In a statement posted on Linkedin, she added: “This move has been client driven, as experience has shown me that many clients wish for advice beyond pure investment. I believe that, in the current environment (both economic and political), we all need to be savvier on how we plan and structure our wealth.

“I have joined a great team and believe their breadth and depth of knowledge is first class. I feel very fortunate that I am going to be learning from the very best once again.”

Rutter is a chartered fellow of the CISI, and holds the CISI level 6 certificate in advanced financial planning.
