Wright will lead the investment management side of the firm’s new branch, which will offer a “full suite” of advisory and investment management services.
The Taunton office is due to open in early 2015; until then Wright will be based in Rowan Dartington’s Wellington branch, having started with the company at the beginning of November.
Wright previously held an investment manager role at Brewin Dolphin’s Taunton office for six years, before which he was with Laing & Cruickshank in the same location.
He will draw on his knowledge of the region and existing contacts to develop Rowan Dartington’s newest operation, as outlined by executive chairman Graham Coxell.
“Bryn brings with him exceptional experience and knowledge within the investment management sector,” said Coxell. “We feel these attributes are vital in building strong and valuable relationships with clients, as he has shown over the last twenty-two years working in the Taunton area.
“His long-term client relationships have also been backed up by his ability to manage their portfolios well.”
Rowan Dartington is also relocating its accounting business, Stafford House Investment, to the Taunton office, which is its tenth UK branch.
