Rosengarten joined City Financial last October when the firm bought the fund arm of Eden Financial  along with its two star managers Leigh Himsworth and Mark Harris.

As head of UK asset management for City Financial, Rosengarten was responsible for integrating the Eden team into City Financial as well as initiating and developing the firm’s in-house investment management capabilities.

Since joining the firm Rosengarten has seen City Financial make a number of high profile hires and acquisitions and he also oversaw the acquisition of OPM Fund Management, worth some £75.2m in assets.

City Financial’s AUM now stands at £460m.

Prior to joining Eden, Rosengarten spent 18 years at asset manager M&G, where positions held included chief executive of equities.

In a statement the firm said: ‘The City Financial investment management and sales teams are now fully integrated into the business and are delivering strong performance across the board.

Having successfully completed this transition, Ed feels it is the right time to move on.’

Rosengarten’s role will be taken over by City Financial chief executive Andrew Williams, who said: “We thank Ed for his outstanding contribution to City Financial’s success and wish him well for the future.”
