Former Odey Asset Management head of emerging market equity strategy Robert Marshall-Lee has launched Cusana Capital, which he announced in a post on LinkedIn.

Marshall-Lee is listed on Companies House as a co-founder alongside former Odey colleague Jocelyn (Jos) Trusted, who served as head of institutional business.

According to Companies House, the firm was first incorporated in February. It does not appear to have a website and there are no real details about what the company will focus or, presumably, invest in.

The fund manager previously spent over two decades with Newton Investment Management, where he was an analyst and global fund manager, before becoming founding head of emerging market and Asian core equities in 2011.

Having been hired by Odey in March 2021, Marshall-Lee left the firm in May as part of a wider exodus from the company with several partners leaving the asset manager, including its head of research Massey Rosborough.

Co-founder Trusted joined Odey in July 2020, having been chief executive of New City Equities at CQS Investment Management.
