RLAM names new head of wholesale

Royal London Asset Management has appointed Phil Reid as head of wholesale.

Reid will be responsible for expanding RLAM’s wholesale business, helping grow its current foot print whilst also developing RLAM’s advisory proposition. He will report to Rob Williams, RLAM’s head of distribution.

Reid will be responsible for building the company’s wholesale team to support RLAM’s existing and new products and services, such as the new multi asset range.

He join RLAM from HSBC Global Asset Management where he was most recently head of UK wholesale. Prior to his roles at HSBC, Reid was sales director at Close Asset Management and also has had sales roles at the National Bank of Canada and RJ Temple.

“Phil is a key hire for us,” Williams said. “He brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm that will help spearhead our growth ambitions in the wholesale market, with a particular focus on the UK advisory sector.”
