Pursglove, who was hired from Goldman Sachs asset management to take responsibility for the future development and delivery of Artemis’ retail distribution strategy, is understood to have been heavily involved in, among other things, the group’s plans in Europe.
According to a spokesperson, Dick Turpin, Artemis’ head of asset gathering will take over Pursglove’s responsibilities, but declined to give a reason for the departure.
Prior to his role at Goldman Sachs, Pursglove was head of UK retail at Gartmore for three years.
