Revealed: Shortlists for the 2023 PA Wealth Partnership Awards

Winners revealed at 28 November lunch at City of London’s Landing Forty Two

|

AJ Bell, Bordier UK, EQ Investors and FE Investments are among the companies vying to win the Fund Selection Team of the Year accolade in Portfolio Adviser’s 2023 Wealth Partnership Awards. The shortlist for one of our centrepiece awards is completed by the teams from IBOSS Asset Management, Saltus and last year’s winner Quilter Cheviot.

Now in their fourth year, the Wealth Partnership Awards are designed to recognise and reward excellence across key elements of the UK’s wealth and asset management businesses – including, crucially, where the two sectors work together in partnership to generate wealth for end-investors.

Earlier this year, Portfolio Adviser invited nominations for individuals, teams and companies in the wealth and asset management sectors who our readers believe have gone the extra mile over the last year or so. All the nominees were asked to complete a short questionnaire outlining why they felt they ought to win and our shortlists were created on the strength of these. Our expert judges then decide the identities of the winners – and, for the record, no judge has a say in any category where there may be a risk of a conflict of interest.

As you can see below, the other wealth management shortlists are for Client Services Team of the Year and ESG Advocate, which is open to businesses, teams and individuals. There is no shortlist for the headline Wealth Manager of the Year (Business) accolade, with the winner decided on the quality of entries across the awards and revealed at next month’s awards dinner.

Investment Team of the Year

Turning to the asset management element of the Wealth Partnership Awards, fund managers from Federated Hermes, Gresham House, Lazard Asset Management, Rathbones and Royal London Asset Management make up the shortlist for the Investment Team of the Year award. The other asset management shortlists are for Distribution Team of the Year and ESG Advocate while, again, there is no shortlist for the Asset Manager of the Year (Business) accolade, with the identity of the winner revealed on the night.

Completing the rollcall of shortlists below are Contribution to Inclusivity, Contribution to Wellbeing and the Rising Star (Individual) and Rising Star (Business) categories, all of which combined entries from across the wealth and asset manager sectors.

All the winners of the 2023 Wealth Partnership Awards will be revealed at a special lunch on 28 November, which takes place at Landing Forty Two at the top of the Leadenhall ‘Cheesegrater’ Building in the City of London.
