Morningstar Investment Management Europe, Quilter Cheviot and Rathbones are among those in the running to win the Fund Selection Team of the Year accolade in Portfolio Adviser’s 2022 Wealth Partnership Awards. The shortlist for one of our centrepiece awards is completed by teams from Bordier UK, LGT Wealth and Whitechurch Securities.
Now in their third year, the Wealth Partnership Awards are designed to recognise and reward excellence across key elements of the UK’s wealth and asset management businesses – including, crucially, where the two sectors work together in partnership to generate wealth for end-investors.
Earlier this year, Portfolio Adviser invited nominations for individuals, teams and companies in the wealth and asset management sectors who our readers believe have gone the extra mile over the last year or so. The hundreds of nominees were then asked to complete a short questionnaire outlining why they felt they ought to win and our shortlists were created on the strength of these. Over the coming weeks, two expert panels of judges will decide the identities of the winners.
As you will see below, the other wealth management shortlists are for Client Services Team of the Year, Rising Star (individual) and ESG Advocate, which is open to businesses, teams and individuals. There is no shortlist for the Rising Star (business) and headline Wealth Manager of the Year (business) accolades, with the winners being announced at next month’s awards dinner.
Investment Team of the Year
Turning to the asset management element of the Wealth Partnership Awards, fund managers from Baillie Gifford, Federated Hermes, Gresham House, M&G Royal London Asset Management and Schroders make up the shortlist for the Investment Team of the Year award. The other asset management shortlists are for Distribution Team of the Year, Rising Star (individual) and ESG Advocate while, again, there is no shortlist for the Rising Star (business) and Asset Manager of the Year (business) accolade, with the winners announced on the night.
Completing the rollcall of shortlists below are Contribution to Inclusivity, Contribution to Wellbeing and the combined Marketing/Digital Initiative of the Year category, which covers both the wealth and asset manager sectors.
All the winners of the 2022 Wealth Partnership Awards will be revealed at a dinner at the City of London’s Bankhall on 29 November. To find out more about the methodology or any other aspects of the awards, please click here. To book a table, please contact Samantha Harris
