Charles joined the firm in 2012 from Thames River and, according to the firm made clear at the time that his intention was to retire in 2016.

“Jeremy will be retiring in the first half of this year and will relinquish his role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) with immediate effect, handing over as planned to Paul Penney,” the firm said.

Carlton Hood, who previous held the role of customer director has also moved on. While he remains with the Old Mutual group his role has been made redundant following an internal restructuring.

“The functions that fall under Carlton Hood’s areas, including marketing and product, have moved under other areas of the business and therefore Carlton’s role no longer exists,” Old Mutual Wealth confirmed in a statement. Adding that Hood is currently “exploring other opportunities within the wider Old Mutual Group”.
