Shakhista Mukhamedova (pictured) has been appointed RBC Brewin Dolphin head of fund research, Portfolio Adviser has learned.

Currently head of fixed income and alternatives, she takes up the role in the new year.

She joined Brewin Dolphin in 2010 as a fund analyst and is a member of the wealth manager’s asset allocation committee.

An RBC Brewin Dolphin spokesperson told Portfolio Adviser: “[Mukhamedova] will be working closely with our RBC colleagues and in particular Carlos Gonzalez Lucar, head of global manager research, British Isles, as we align our processes and procedures over the coming months, as the team integrates with the broader global manager research team at RBC Wealth Management.”

Meanwhile, head of equity funds Michael Paul will move to a client-facing investment manager role based in the firm’s Leeds office at the end of 2023.

While Michael will be much missed within the research team, we wish him all the best as he brings his expertise to bear directly for clients,” the spokesperson said.

“The RBC Brewin Dolphin research team continues at strength, working closely with their RBC colleagues to deliver global research expertise.”
