Rathbones has unveiled a Luxembourg domiciled version of James Thomson and Sammy Dow’s Global Opportunities fund.

The Rathbone Luxembourg Sicav Global Opportunities fund will be part of the firm’s Sicav range launched in May 2016 to enable offshore investors to invest in a Ucits framework.

The active strategy, which targets out of favour growth companies, will be the same as the £3.7bn UK-domiciled version with the same holdings. It is managed by Thomson (pictured) and Dow with an annual management charge of 0.75% and an estimated ongoing charges figure of 0.78%.

Rathbone Unit Trust Management head of sales Greg Mullins said: “The addition of the Rathbone Global Opportunities Fund to our already strong range of Sicav sub-funds, will give offshore clients access to unconstrained global equity exposure, of around 40 to 60 stocks, and a process with has been successfully tested across a number of market cycles.”
