David Till and Martin Vanstone joined the Cambridge and Chichester offices respectively on 24 November.
Both were hired based on their contact books in the region, with Rathbones hoping they will build on their existing clientele as part of the firm’s ongoing UK expansion. Till reports to Christopher Day, regional director of the Cambridge office, and Vanstone to Greg Mahon, regional director for Chichester.
Till and Vanstone arrived from Investec Wealth & Investment’s base in Guildford, having joined the firm as part of the acquisition of Williams de Bro in 2011, where they held investment director and asset allocation and investment committee roles respectively.
Till is supported by Danny Hannan, an investment manager, and Vanstone by assistant investment manager Steven Haines, both of whom also came from Investec’s Guildford office.
Tim Bolton Carter, Rathbones’ senior regional director, said: “We are very much a business whose success is determined by the people we attract and place great emphasis on providing a personalised investment service for our clients.
“David and Martin, along with Danny and Steven, share this focus on client service and will draw on their significant experience in client portfolio management to support the continued growth of our business.”
The appointments follow Will Roberts assuming an investment director role in Rathbones’ Liverpool office on 3 November.
