The role, which Roberts assumed on 3 November, is an addition to the existing team in the Liverpool office. He reports to investment director Brian Kenny, who oversees Rathbones’ investment operations in the area.
Roberts arrived after resigning from his investment manager role in Charles Stanley’s Liverpool office, which has since closed. He started his career at BWD Rensburg in Liverpool and has 15 years’ experience in financial services.
Andrew Morris, Rathbones’ head of investment management in the North, said: “Will returned to Liverpool [with Charles Stanley] from London in 2010. He is from Liverpool, knows the area and is well connected in the industry. We expect he will re-establish those connections and build from there.”
