Rathbones has appointed Anne-Marie McConnon to the newly-created position of chief client officer.

McConnon (pictured) will be a member of the FTSE 250 company’s group executive committee when she joins in May 2023, and she will report directly to group CEO Paul Stockton.

McConnon has spent over a decade at BNY Mellon Investment Management, where she is currently global chief client experience officer.

She has also held several marketing roles at M&G.

Stockton said: “Over the past two years, we have been focussed on executing our business strategy, which has created positive momentum and change across Rathbones Group and for our clients. Our ambition is for new and existing clients and advisers to experience a leading, personalised, and interactive experience and the appointment of our first chief client officer is the next step in delivering against this strategy as we continue to grow.

“Anne-Marie has a proven track-record, not only for driving innovation in client experience, marketing, and proposition, but also for championing diversity in the industry, which is a key priority for us as a business. We look forward to her joining the Rathbones team.”

McConnon said: “I am truly excited to be joining the firm as part of its next phase of growth, to continue building and delivering a superior service to clients – in an industry that is evolving at a rapid pace”.
