Rathbones hires trio of managers for foray into Asia ex-Japan and Global Emerging Markets

Rathbones has hired three portfolio managers as it creates its first strategies focused on Asia ex-Japan and global emerging markets.

Dr Lisa Lim will become fund manager and head of Asia ex-Japan equities, while Tim Love becomes fund manager and head of global emerging market equities. Joaquim Nogueira will also join as a fund manager for global emerging market equities.

Lim was previously a partner and portfolio manager at Prusik Investment Management, where she grew the sustainable investing capabilities. She was also a manager at Columbia Threadneedle for over 10 years, focusing on Asian institutional portfolios.

Love joins from GAM, where he spent 12 years in a similar role to his Rathbones position. Before, he was a senior portfolio manager at both CQS and Cazenove Capital Management. He has also run portfolios at BlackRock, then Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, and HSBC Asset Management.

Nogueira has worked alongside love for over 20 years, at GAM, CQS and Cazenove Capital Management. He was an investment manager at GAM for the emerging market equity team, and previously managed long/short emerging market equity strategies for CQS and Cazenove.
