Cherie Hamoudi is based at the firm’s Edinburgh office, where she will manage private client portfolios, SIPPs and charities, reporting to regional director David Macauley.
She arrives after leaving a vice president position with Barclays Wealth & Investment Management in October 2014, prior to which she held a senior investment manager role at Turcan Connell.
Macauley said: “Over her 26 years working with private clients, Cherie has accumulated invaluable expertise and she thoroughly understands their expectations and how they can be best met.”
Hamoudi’s appointment comes as part of Rathbones’ growth of its wider Scotland enterprise, with the firm preparing to open a Glasgow office in the first half of this year, headed by Angus Kerr.
“Cherie joins Rathbones as we prepare to open our new office in Glasgow,” Macauley continued. “This continuation of the business’ strong organic growth is not only further testament to our commitment to providing on-the-ground resource where required, but also underlines the importance of Scotland to Rathbones as a whole.”
