Quilter Cheviot has appointed head of investment fund research Nick Wood as the new head of regional offices, as Richard Thorn retires from the role.

Thorn leaves Quilter Cheviot after nearly four decades with the business. He will work alongside Wood for the first quarter of the year to transition the role.

Wood has worked at Quilter Cheviot since 2012, overseeing the fund research team and fund selection process. He previously held analyst roles at Stamford Associates and Capital International. In his new role, he will head the business for the regional private client investment management teams.

“I am delighted to take on the role as head of regional offices,” Wood said.

“With over 12 years at Quilter Cheviot and having collaborated with our regional teams during this time, I look forward to working even more closely with them to support our regional development in what is an exciting time for the business.”

Wood’s previous role of head of investment fund research will be taken over by Matt Ennion. Ennion has been with Quilter Cheviot sine 2019 as an investment analyst, and is chair of the alternatives investment committee as well as a member of the investment funds and asset allocation committees.

Nick will bring a fresh, analytical perspective to our regionally based UK investment management teams, supported by his deep understanding of Quilter Cheviot and its operations.
