Working alongside investment director Toby Carpenter, Faulkner will support Psigma’s plans for further growth in the Midlands.
Jennifer Price, who worked closely with Faulkner at Rathbones, has also been poached by Psigma to work in a support role in the Birmingham office.
Faulkner was the one of the original co-founders of Rathbones’ Birmingham office back in 2008 where he worked as an investment director.
Prior to this, he spent 11 years at Quilter Cheviot and eight years at stock broker Albert E Sharp.
He has over 29 years’ experience in the financial services sector, providing discretionary investment services to financial advisers and their clients and is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Commenting on his move to Psigma, Faulkner said: “I am delighted to be joining Psigma during this exciting growth phase.
“The strength of the investment proposition, quality of the people and excellent corporate culture make Psigma a market leading organisation that I am very much looking forward to being a part of.”
Psigma’s chief executive officer John Howard-Smith said Faulkner’s appointment is “an exciting development”.
“Investment in transport infrastructure combined with high levels of commercial activity has further increased the economic importance of Birmingham,” he said.
“As the ‘capital’ of the Midlands Birmingham remains the first-choice destination for those relocating out of London. Expanding our presence in the region has been one of the easiest decisions I’ve made in a long time.”
