After a seven-year career at Arbuthnot Latham, Seamer will be leaving the private bank to join Psigma as an investment director at a time when the firm is continuing to expand rapidly.

Assets under management across Psigma’s private clients, charities and pension scheme units totalled £2.7bn at 30 June 2017.

Seamer’s departure was confirmed last month, as was fellow colleague Mats Arthurrson’s move from Arbuthnot Latham to Quilter Cheviot.

Prior to that, Seamer was an investment manager at Bestinvest and a wealth manager at Langton’s Wealth Management.

Seamer signals growth

Psigma chief executive officer John Howard-Smith talked about the firm’s growth ambitions, while commenting on Seamer’s appointment.

He said: “We have strong ambitions to grow our business in the coming years and I fully expect Peter to be an integral part of our future success.

“Peter brings a wealth of industry knowledge and his experience and skills will greatly complement our core investment proposition of delivering ‘real’ inflation-plus returns, rather than benchmarking ourselves against indices that we feel are less relevant for clients.”

Seamer himself added that he was “delighted to be joining Psigma during this exciting growth phase”.

“The strength of the investment proposition, quality of the people and excellent corporate culture make Psigma a market- leading organisation that I am very much looking forward to being part of,” he added.
