Professional services firm Progeny has acquired Carbon Financial Partners for an undisclosed sum.
The deal will add £600m to Progeny’s assets under management (AUM) as well as Carbon Financial Partners team of 45 staff to the team across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Perth.
It offers personal service to clients with complex financial needs, business leaders and those approaching important life transitions.
Gordon Wilson, managing director at Carbon Financial Partners, said: “ It was critical for the team that we found the right fit for our clients and we have achieved that.
“Combining with Progeny will help us to take our service and advice offering to new levels.”
Progeny chief executive Neil Moles (pictured), added: “Welcoming Carbon Financial Partners to Progeny will enable us to consolidate and strengthen our existing presence in Scotland and I look forward to what we can achieve together for our clients.”
This acquisition comes less than two months after Progeny purchased Nottingham-based wealth manager Fiscal Engineers in August this year, which increased its AUM to £8bn. It also acquired The Fry Group in April, and financial planning firm Lewis Brownlee Financial Services in November last year.
