Glendon is the first to take on the newly-created role and will be based in London, reporting directly to Janus UK and EMEA COO Nigel Austin.
He joins the firm from Premier Asset Management, where he was head of UK discretionary sales. Prior to this he worked at F&C Asset Management and Investec Asset Management.
A spokesperson for Premier, which recently undertook a fund shake-up, said the firm was in the process of recruiting a replacement.
