Ross Porter is leaving Skagen after 13 years at the firm, taking time out before returning to fund management at a later date.

Porter has been co-manager on the firm’s emerging markets £5.3bn Kon-Tiki Fund since 2011, and there are no plans as yet to replace him.

The fund’s management team also includes Kristoffer Stenstrud, Knut Harald Nilsson, Catherine Gether and Erik Landgraff.

The largest proportion of its capital, 33.3%, is currently invested in Asia Pacific equities and in terms of sector, consumer products is the most heavily weighted at 31.7%. The fund’s performance over the past year is shown in the graph below.

The firm made its initial foray into the UK retail market in February.
