Pictet Asset Management has hired Luca Paolini as chief strategist.

Luca Paolini takes on the role and, based in London, will report to Oliver Ginguené, head of asset allocation and quantitative investments.
He worked at Credit Suisse between October 2007 and February this year where he was a global equity strategist. Prior to this he was an asset allocation strategist with Union Investment, between February 2005 and September 2007.

Until 2005 he spent five years with AllianzDrresdner.

On Paolini’s role, Ginguené commented: “Luca will help us provide clients with the insights they need to navigate volatile financial markets, through regular tactical asset allocation briefings with clients and consultants globally. Luca will be working alongside Patrick Zweifel, our chief economist, and Steve Donze, who focuses on macrostrategy.”
