Owen is taking over the asset manager’s property arm from William Hill, who after 25 years at Schroders has decided to move into an advisory role and hand on his head of property title to Owen.

The change takes immediate effect and sees Owen, who joined Schroders in 2003, take up Hill’s responsibilities for the £10.5 billion division from today.

Prior to coming on board at Schroders, Owen spearheaded the creation of Invista, a specialised property business, as well as its subsequent IPO as a newly formed real estate fund management business.
