Lee will start with OMGI in London but expects to move back to Hong Kong when the required regulatory approvals have been received. He will be responsible for supporting the team's Chinese stock picking.
He joins after 18 years at Ignis Asset Management where he managed several of their Asian equity funds. Prior to being at Ignis, Lee held roles at KPMG and Scottish Amicable.
The Asian equities team currently manages the Old Mutual Pacific Equity fund and the Old Mutual Asian Equity fund, which are sub-funds of the Dublin domiciled Old Mutual Global Investors Series plc umbrella funds.
