Odey Asset Management has added three partners to its ranks in the New Year following several key departures in 2019.

James Kostoris, who is an investment director working with UK intermediaries and institutions, is among the trio of appointments, alongside Stefan Wey and Simon Schafer.

In summer 2019, fund manager Michele Ragazzi exited to start his own firm while fellow partner Ralph Beckett also departed.

The latest appointments are effective from 1 January 2020 and take the total number of partners to 16. In November, senior analyst James Spalton also became partner.

Kostoris joined Odey Asset Management in December 2012, having previously worked as an investment manager at Brown Shipley and an analyst at CIB Egypt. Wey joined in 2013 after 13 years at UBS.

Schafer joined in 2014 having previously been a European technology analyst at Goldman Sachs.
