Paul Sheehan has joined Oberon Investments, leaving WH Ireland after more than 12 years at the wealth manager.

Sheehan joined WH Ireland in 2011 and managed AIM investment and wealth management portfolios. Sheehan was also a member of its UK stock selection, asset allocation, and portfolio construction committees.

He began his career at Newton IM in 1986 as an analyst and assistant fund manager, before moving to Friend’s Provident to manage life and pension funds.

After a seven-year spell at Dresdner, Sheehan moved to Jupiter, where he spent eight years as a director. There, he managed Jupiter’s UK Special Situations unit trust, alongside what was then its Primadona Growth trust.

The strategy became the Jupiter Global Trust in 2015 but was liquidated the following year.

At Oberon, Sheehan is responsible for the boutique’s high-net-worth clients, and their portfolios.

Simon McGivern, Oberon’s CEO, said: “Paul is a well-known and respected figure in the industry and we very much look forward to him joining our investment team and adding to the offering we provide to our expanding base of clients.”
