Oberon Investments has hired David Thompson from Investec, who joins after 18 years at the firm.
At Investec, Thompson was a senior portfolio manager, responsible for running over £180m of client assets.
Thompson will join Oberon’s investment management division. He has previously held roles at Credit Suisse and Kleinwort Benson.
Meanwhile, Oberon has also acquired a two-man wealth planning team from a “leading wealth management firm”. While no further details were announced, Oberon said the team bring strong investment backgrounds along with an established discretionary client base.
