Nucleus has poached Valerie Rogerson from Standard Life to head its client relations team.

Rogerson (pictured), who joins Nucleus with more than 10 years’ experience, was most recently head of customer service strategy and proposition at Standard Life.

At Nucleus, Rogerson will be responsible for delivering client service and providing adviser firms with operational support and promoting best practice within their businesses.

She will report to Barry Neilson, chief customer officer at Nucleus.

Neilson said Rogerson brings an “impressive amount of experience”, making her an invaluable member to the team and advisers.

Rogerson said: “I have always admired Nucleus for succeeding in doing things differently in their drive to change the financial planning industry.

“As a result I think it is really important for Nucleus to continually improve its service offering, responding to the evolving needs of our adviser community to help them grow their businesses and allow the public to recognise the benefits financial advice brings.”

The appointment follows confirmation last week that Nucleus is planning to list on the alternative investment market (Aim) later this month.

Earlier this week, the platform fired a warning over potential capacity issues at adviser firms.
