Nordea Asset Management (NAM) has expanded its UK distribution team with the hire of James Elks and Lindsay Nickerson.
Elks has been appointed global head of investment consultant relations after a two-and-a-half-year post at Royal London Asset Management as institutional client solutions director.
He has worked in institutional sale and relations at the likes of J O Hambro, Martin Currie, Investec, Bramdean and Credit Suisse since 2002.
Alongside him, Nickerson has been named NAM’s new director of UK institutional relations, where she will be focussed on clients in the DC and DB space.
She moves to the firm after over nine years within AON’s UK DC practice. Nickerson spent the past three years there as the division’s associate partner.
David Crawford, head of UK institutional and wholesale distribution at NAM, said: “James brings two decades of deep industry experience and strong leadership, while Lindsay offers valuable DC insights and a broad range of research expertise from her extensive background as an investment specialist.”
