Nikko Asset Management will rename itself as Amova Asset Management, beginning 1 September 2025.
Nikko AM, which started in 1959 in Japan, said the name change reflects the firm’s global growth strategy. Through subsidiaries and affiliates, Nikko AM has a presence in 11 countries and regions with headquarters in Tokyo.

Under the new name, Nikko AM will continue to be owned by the Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group. Nikko AM holds $240.1bn under management as of 31 March 2024.
The new name is a combination of words to represent the firm, with “Am” coming from asset management, “Mov” as movement, and “Ova” from Nova, representing new exploration of frontiers of the business.
