Little has been managing BlackRock’s core UK equity portfolios for institutional clients for the past seven years and has been with the firm for ten years.

The UK fund currently has £444m assets under management.

Launched 20 years ago, the fund’s investment philosophy will remain unchanged, driven by a bottom-up fundamental approach to stock selection.

BlackRock said the management style would retain its flexibility, allowing Lyttletonand Little adapt to various economic cycles.

BlackRock’s UK equity team is one of the largest in London, with 19 experienced fund managers and analysts managing £25.5bn.

Little’s appointment as co-manager follows similar existing co-manager structures within BlackRock, where Mark Lyttleton and Nick Osborne manage the BlackRock UK Absolute Alpha Fund and Nick Mcleod-Clarke and Adam Avigdori run the BlackRock UK Income Fund.
