Neuberger Berman has hired former Schroders emerging markets value portfolio managers Juan Torres and Vera German as part of wider changes to its emerging markets desk.
Torres and German will replace long-time portfolio manager Conrad Saldanha, who has decided to pursue new opportunities outside Neuberger.
The duo were previously co-lead portfolio managers on the Schroders emerging markets team, before exiting as part of a restructure last October.
“We are excited to have two talented and experienced investors in Vera and Juan join the firm,” a Neuberger spokesperson said.
“We are confident their value-focused EME approach will serve our clients well — and enhance the firm’s broader Emerging Markets offerings, where we manage ~$24bn across equity and debt.”
